After watching the movie Get Out, I had mixed emotions. I enjoyed the movie and enjoyed the ending and felt satisfied with the way it ended. The acting was very good and the plot was amazing also. The main character felt like a real person with his reactions to things an didn't just act like a stupid horror movie character waiting to die. The movie dealt with real life problems like racism and had the racist white people die at the end which was good.
I believe the director, Jordan Peele is an auteur because the way he made the movie and the control he had over it made the finished product so good and fun to watch. The movie is art and he was the brains behind it. Peele has also made other movies which I will admit I haven't seen yet but I have heard good things about them. He is able to create art with every film he makes and this makes him a true auteur.
One of my favorite scenes from the movie is when the main character, Chris, goes outside in the middle of the night for some fresh air and the grounds man, Walter , starts sprinting at Chris. This scene was freaky and funny at the same time.
